In January 2020 we start on another journey for several months. We go to one of our favorite warm spots, Saint Luci,a for a month to enjoy warmth, the sun, and the sea.

After a month in France, Italy and Morocco, I feel I’ve procrastinated in getting my thoughts on staying in St Lucia a month written down. It was such a relaxing stay and we did very little touristy stuff. We enjoyed some walks and some beach time. We enjoyed looking out from the yacht club and swimming now and then in the beautiful water. And since arriving in Morocco, getting good bandwidth for photo uploads has been hit or miss.

So for St Lucia:

So there isn’t much to really make notes on!!! We went out for lunch and dinner a number of times as the food is great. Seems it’s gotten a bit more expensive over the years though. We found great fresh fish, every few days at the supermarket in our Rodney Bay Mall apartment building.

 

We enjoyed our spacious condo with a large balcony in spite of the fact it was very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. The handy AC units helped drown out the noise during the night.  One of the reasons the condo was so good was that we could walk nearly everywhere we wanted to. The large marina was about 20 minutes away and everything else was about 10 minutes from us. The only place that was hard to get to was Pigeon Island and the food kiosks near the entrance there. Fortunately dear friend Anne picked me up for visits there which included a nice lunch at Jamb de Bois after climbing to the near top of the fort.

JAN 24-26, 2020 Martinique

 We enjoyed a 2 night visit by ferry to St Anne’s in Martinique. It’s so much fun to have a bit of France so close. The baguettes, croissants and even the wine are terrific. And then of course there’s the Rhum Agricole only made in Martinique, making the Ti Ponch famous.
