DUNE 7

I’d read about Dune 7 in another travel blog that is fun to follow, https://www.neverendingvoyage.com/. Our only mistake was we visited in the midafternoon instead of the early morning. With the hot sun on the sand all day, it was too hot to climb in sandals. If I’d thought about it I would have brought my walking shoes. Even with a limited feeble attempt to climb up a short ways, the sand was too hot and I was burning my toes. It was surprising to see dogs on the side of the dune – not sure how their little feet/pads tolerated the burning sand.

We watched the climbers for a while and marveled at the sheer size of Dune 7. We then drove off and stopped nearby for a beer. Funny little place – not quite a tiki hut! We then drove on farther to see the great expanse of these enormous desert sand dunes that stretched on for miles and miles.
